The MSN Data Tools and Services Team is the place where other MSN Teams go to get much of the data they need. As we like to say on our team, our mission is to put the Data into Data Driven Decisions. Some of the services we build and support are the MSN headline optimization service, MSN content understanding service, MSN shared profile service and MSN user data collection service. Additionally we design tools to help MSN Editors make decisions. These include the MSN headline performance evaluation tool and the MSN real time social signal evaluation tool. We are also working on some exciting new features that will be part of the next generation of MSN products.

Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an enthusiastic engineer who wants to join our small team and be part of a one of three feature crews that utilize a hybrid Scrum/Kanban process and an Acceptance Test Driven development model. While this is a test role, we expect all scrum team members to feel a sense of complete ownership of the project and bring a real sense of software craftsmanship to the team. Additionally we expect each team member to focus on delivering customer value whether the customer is another MSN Engineering Feature Team, MSN Editorial Staff or MSN end users. The primary responsibility for this role is to help ensure that we release quality products through efficient use of engineering resources. This will mean utilizing a high level of collaboration with PM and Dev on the scrum team and taking on work items that may be either a coding or testing task. Given the fast paced environment, a significant amount of testing is done by the development team using Unit Tests and Acceptance Tests. The test team may help with the creation of features and/or Unit and Acceptance Tests but will also focus on Integration Tests, Monitoring and Testing in Production.
