Software Developer - Prototype – Bellevue

For this position, you will implement portions of client-server protocols, protocol analysis tools, and communication test suites using the proprietary information contained in reference documentation. You will be assisting the United States Department of Justice, as well as several State governments, in enforcing an anti-trust settlement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, coding, and building a prototype system that runs on a non-Windows server that interoperates with existing features on a Windows XP client
  
• Writing protocol dissectors for commercial protocol analysis tools suites
  
• Writing test programs needed to exercise the protocol on the client and the server
  
• Verifying that the prototype protocol conforms to the specifications
  
• Keeping detailed records of problems
