Software Architect - – Bellevue

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Software Architect you will work with a small group of architects responsible for designing the system architecture of future generations of the Internet service email product. Analyzing the existing architecture for areas of efficiency improvements, cost reductions, scalability and feature additions. The successful candidate will work closely with other departments responsible for designing the overall end-to-end architecture. Responsibilities also include supporting the software design teams, resolving technical issues, creating and reviewing design documents, performing feasibility studies, evaluating the impact of new features and technologies.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years experience in programming and design of highly scalable distributed systems.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies.
Knowledge of Java technologies, C++, XML, JMX, JDBC, SQL, Internet mail protocols, and SyncML.
Experience with Grid and virtual file storage technologies is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
